John R. Nolan is the oldest member of the Nolan film family. The film and TV veteran actor has lived his life doing what he enjoys best; acting.

Early Accomplishments

His entertainment career did not start relatively early as he had to wait until 27 to make his screen debut in a 1965 episode of ITV Playhouse with a film debut in Bequest to the Nations coming 8 years after. Before then, he worked with the prestigious Royal Shakespeare Company for 2 years. 

Best Known For

Quite known for appearing in his nephews’ works such as playing a board member of Wayne Enterprises, Douglas Fredericks in the Batman trilogy (2005-2012) and 2008’s Gotham Central, he has mostly been involved as the main villain in seasons 2 to 5 of the TV series, Persons of Interest.
