Superstar film producer Harvey Weinstein is a Hollywood bigshot who is unfortunately in the media currently for all the wrong reasons.

Early Accomplishments

He attended the State University of New York and upon graduation, joined hands with Corky Burger and his brother to produce rock shows. 

Soon, he established Miramax with his brother starting out as a film distribution company. 

The 1980 rock film Rockshow with Paul McCartney was their first job.

Best Known For

He is famed as co-owner of Miramax and The Weinstein Company responsible for classics and famed productions such as Shakespeare In Love in 1998, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Sin City in 2014 and The Hateful Eight in 2015.

Since 2017, he has been the subject of numerous sexual assault claims by various artistes and after investigations, he was sacked from his own firm and convicted of the offences in May 2018.

Harvey is straight and has twice been married. 

His first was to his assistant Eve Chilton from 1987 to 2004 with whom he has 3 kids. 

In 2007, he wedded Georgina Chapman but she left him in 2017 after the sexual assault claims. 

He has also dated several other women in his time such as Asia Argento.

Family

He is the eldest child of Max and Miriam Weinstein while his brother is Bob. He is the father of Remy (or Lily), Ruth and Emma with Eve and India Pearl and Dashiell with Georgina.

Religion 

Weinstein is Jewish as is his entire family.
