Early Accomplishments

Singing began for JoJo as early as 2 years old and was even received a record deal offer at 6 which her mother turned down due to her age.

After performing on Gospelfest and The Oprah Winfrey Show at 7 and finishing 2nd on America’s Most Talented Kids, she piqued the interest of a producer which led to a live demo by age 10.

Best Known For

At 13 years, she became the youngest artist to top the Billboard chart with her 2004 hit, Leave (Get Out). She is also known for songs such as Too Little Too Late and Baby It’s You with Bow Wow.

She has also starred in the films Aquamarine, RV (both 2006), G.B.F. (2013) and as herself in Shark Tale (2004).

Sexual Orientation

JoJo is straight but has kept her romantic affairs away from the media in recent times. She and soccer prodigy, Freddy Adu made headlines in 2005 after they made their relationship public but this romance lasted only a year. In 2009, she began dating Jeremiah but they split in 2011. 

Family

Joanne Noëlle Blagden Levesque is the only daughter of long-divorced Joel Levesque (died 2015) and Diana Blagden.

Religion

Growing up with her mom, she had faith instilled in her by the Catholic Church and she recognizes the importance of God in her life. She is however, not as religious in her adult life.

She is a charitable person supporting causes such as Make A Wish Foundation, World Vision, Toy Mountain, etc.

According to Disney, she was their first choice to play Hannah Montana. She reflects on the success of the show and says she has zero regrets.
