Actress and filmmaker, Olivia Wilde is a new age renaissance symbol due to her zealous political and women rights activism.

Early Accomplishments

Born into an extended family of writers, journalists and novelists, Olivia was fascinated by acting and turned down admissions into Bard College 3 times to pursue her dream.

She first appeared on screen in 6 episodes of Skin (2003) and while working as a director assistant on set of The Girl Next Door (2004), she made her film debut in it.

Best Known For

Her most famous role on TV is as Dr. Thirteen in seasons 4-8 of  House but she has made numerous film appearances, most notably TRON: Legacy (2010), The Incredible Burt Wonderstone (2013) and The Lazarus Effect (2015).

She has produced several documentaries and directed her first film in 2019, titled Booksmart.

Sexual Orientation

Olivia is straight. She eloped with her high school sweetheart when she was 18 and they got wedded in a school bus in 2003. They however split in 2011 and she began dating Jason Sudeikis a month after the divorce. As of today, she and Jason have been engaged since the start of 2013.

Family

Born as Olivia Jane Cockburn, she is the middle child of journalists Andrew and Leslie Cockburn. Her sister is Chloe (born 1979) and her brother is Charlie (born 1993).

She is the mother of son Otis (born 2014) and daughter Daisy (born 2016), both with Jason.

Religion

Olivia was raised as a Christian but through her adult life, she has abandoned her faith.

Worth To Know

She adopted the surname “Wilde” as a tribute to Oscar Wilde. She also named her son after her favorite singer, Otis Redding.

A bit of her fun side, she once won a pancake-eating contest in Australia.

She is a pescetarian and a dual US/Ireland citizen.
