Russell Brand

Russell Brand is an English humorist who has put his comic talents to use as an actor, TV & radio host and author. He is also a political activist.

Early Accomplishments

He got his first experience acting when he was 15 during his school theatrical production of Bugsy Malone and in 1991 attended Italia Conti Academy but was expelled after one year for drug and attendance issues.

In 1994, he made his screen debut in an episode each of Mud and The Bill.

Best Known For

He first became mainstream famous as the presenter of Big Brother’s Big Mouth in 2004 and has hosted several MTV award shows.

He starred in films like Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008), Get Him to the Greek (2010), Arthur (2011) and voiced Creek in Trolls (2016).

Sexual Orientation

Russell is straight and is now married to Laura Gallacher since 2017 after dating on and off since 2007 but finally getting together in 2015. He and Katy Perry had known each other for just half a year in 2009 before getting engaged on 31st of December and getting married 10 months later. They however, got divorced in 2012.

He has dated several other women such as Jemima Khan in 2013-2014, Teresa Palmer in 2008 and possibly Kate Moss in 2006.

Family

He is the only child of Ronald Brand and Barbara Nichols. He and Laura are parents of 2 beautiful girls; Mabel (born 2016) and Peggy (2018).

Religion

Russell has attributed getting over his addiction problems to meditation and Hare Krishna teachings. He is now a Hindu Devotee.
