John Krasinski

Tall, handsome and brilliant American, John Krasinski is a famed filmmaker who acts, directs, produces and writes films, series and plays.

Early Accomplishments

His debut acting experience was playing Daddy Warbucks in in his 6th-grade musical, Annie before acting in high school in a satire written by B.J Novak. 

He taught English in Costa Rica before college.

John went to Brown University to study theatre arts, join a sketch comedy crew, coach a local youth basketball team and graduated with playwright honors. Afterwards, he appeared in TV adverts and shows.

Best Known For

Between 2005 and 2013, he directed, produced and starred in 201 episodes of renowned series The Office. He also appeared in Licence to Wed in 2007, Leatherheads in 2008 and Something Borrowed in 2011.

Sexual Orientation

John is straight and has been married to British actress, Emily Blunt since 2010 after dating her since 2008 (they were introduced to each other by Emily’s friend, Anne Hathaway) and getting engaged 9 months later. 

Prior to this, he and Rashida Jones brought their on-screen romance to life in 2005 but it did not last as they split a year after.

Family

He is the littlest of Ronald and Mary Clare Krasinski’s children and has Kevin and Paul as brothers. 

He is the father of 2 girls who are Hazel and Violet that were respectively born in 2014 and 2016.

Religion

John grew up with a Roman Catholic faith, much like his brothers and he is still devoted to his religion till date.

Worth To Know

He and his wife both starred as a surviving couple in 2018’s thriller, A Quiet Place, a movie he also wrote, directed and produced.

His real parents played his character’s parents in Licence to Wed.

He was considered to play Steve Rogers/Captain America but he said he got discouraged after seeing Chris Hemsworth during the screen-test.
