Mike Myers

Mike Myers is quite the famous British-Canadian comic actor, filmmaker and writer, and master of improv comedy.

Early Accomplishments

He was in a TV ad at age 2 and another one for British Columbia Hydro at age 10 but his TV series debut came when he was 12 in King of Kensington. 

He graduated from his high school in 1982 and went to UK where he started the improv group, The Comedy Store Players in 1985.

Best Known For

Between 1989 and 1995, he was part of the Saturday Night Live cast and now host The Gong Show. He wrote, produced and famously starred in all of the Austin Powers films. He is also the man behind the famous Shrek character in all the films.

Sexual Orientation

Mike is straight and has been married twice. He met Robin Ruzan at a hockey game in 1989 and they tied the knot in 1993. They however divorced 12 years later. 

In 2010, he got married to Kelly Tisdale after dating for 4 years and they have bloomed ever since.

Family

The youngest of Eric and Alice (Hind) Myers sons, his brothers are rock singer, Paul Myers and marketing executive, Peter Myers. 

He is the father of 3 children with Kelly; son Spike, born in 2011 and daughters Sunday and Paulina, born in 2014 and 2015 respectively. 

Religion

Although he was born and raised in Protestant Christianity, Mike seems to have taken to some sort of New Age/Deepak Chopra Eastern faith. He included some of his beliefs in his 2008 film, The Love Guru.

Mike is a Dungeons & Dragons aficionado and joined other stars for the 2006 D&D Game Day.

He is a Canadian icon. He has a star on the Walk of Fame, an Order of Canada award, his face on a Canadian stamp and a street named after him.
