Joel Courtney is a brilliant actor who has charmed his way into young fans’ hearts with his acting skill and good looks.

Early Accomplishments

Before he started acting in various plays by his school theatre department, he was part of a competitive swimming team.

He travelled to LA to visit his brother and hoped to earn a few bucks doing TV commercials before he was invited to a casting call for Super 8 in 2010. He also starred in 2 episodes of The Haunting Hour while auditioning.

Best Known For

He is most famous for his debut film role, Super 8 while he is also famed for Mercy and Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, both in 2014 and The Kissing Booth in 2018.

He has also made noteworthy television appearances such as playing a main role in all 13 episodes of The Messengers in 2015.

Joel is straight but despite rumours of having dated Isabelle Fuhrman and Kathleen McNamara, it just turns out they he is very good friends with the both of them after he met them on set of different movies.

He is the youngest son of teachers, Dale and Carla Courtney with Chantelle being the eldest and only sister and his brothers being Caleb and Josh.

Joel is a Christian and owes his career to his religious upbringing. JJ Abrams, the director of Super 8 cited that he took a liking to him because of his faith and “incredible politeness”.
