Hugh Hudson

Hugh Hudson is another English producer and director who ventured into film productions from making television adverts and biopics. He, however, is more efficacious as being the brains behind the award-winning movie, Chariots of Fire.

Early Accomplishments

As early as 6 years old, he was enrolled in a boarding school. After graduation from Eton College, when he was 20 years old, he served his nation in the Dragoon Guards attaining the level of 2nd Lieutenant until his discharge in 1960. He began co-running a film production company afterwards.

Best Known For

His most popular work as a director, which is also his major debut work and most lucrative is Chariots of Fire in 1981 winning 4 Academy Awards and being voted 19th of Top 100 by the British Film Institute. His other known works include Greystoke: The Legend Of Tarzan, Lord Of The Apes in 1984 and Finding Altamira in 2016.
