Ricardo Emmanuel Brown, popularly identified as Kurupt, is an American rapper, a member of Tha Dogg Pound, HRSMN and Diirty OGz. He is also an accomplished actor.

Early Accomplishments

His breakthrough came about after moving to Los Angeles from Philadelphia when he was 16. By 18, he made his recording debut by featuring on 3 tracks on a record by The S.OS. Bands.

Best Known For

His fame comes from his association with his duo group, Tha Dogg Pound with Daz Dillinger and they have 7 studio albums including double platinum Dogg Food in 1995. His association with Death Row Records has brought him far more fame such that his appointment as executive vice president of the record label shows his great influence.

He also has a successful solo career, evident of his 6 studio albums including 1998’s Kuruption!.

He was cast for Dark Blue and Half Past Dead both in 2002.
