Kat Dennings, whose actual name is Katherine Litwack, is a talented actress from Philadelphia, USA famous for her role in 2 Broke Girls.

Early Accomplishments

When she was 10 years old, Kat did an advert for a potato chips company. But her first pro acting performance was a cameo in a single episode of Sex and the City in 2000. 2 years later, she was cast in The Scream Team, a flick on the Disney Channel.

Best Known For

Kat made her shift to movies with roles in The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Big Momma’s House 2. She later received a level of fame with roles in The House Bunny and Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist before landing a role in Marvel’s Thor and Thor: The Dark World. She has since taken a lead role on the sitcom, 2 Broke Girls together with Beth Behrs.

Kat is straight. She dated actor Ira David Wood IV for 3 years. For 2 years she was with singer Josh Groban.

Family

Kat is the youngest of five children born to Gerald J. Litwack & Ellen Judith Litwack. Her dad is a molecular pharmacology university professor while her mother does poetry and speech therapy.

Religion

She is of Jewish origion as every other member of her family but she is a non-practicing Jew. Kat once said: “Judaism is an important part of my history, but, as a whole, religion is not a part of my life.”

She has also been reported to practise transcendental meditation.
