Kate Winslet

Kate Elizabeth Winslet is a name which is synonymous with Hollywood greatness. The English actress has given the world memorable acting to last a lifetime.

Early Accomplishments

She received her education at a theatre school called Redroofs and had her initial TV experience in an advert for Sugar Puffs when she was 12. She was featured in the miniseries Dark Season in 1991, made her film debut in 1994 with Heavenly Creatures and came into limelight with Sense and Sensibility in 1995.

Best Known For

In 1997, she played an iconic role along with Leonardo DiCaprio as Rose and Jack in Titanic, arguably among the best 10 movies ever made. 

She also played Hannah Schmitz in The Reader in 2008. 

Other notable films are Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Finding Neverland both in 2004 and The Holiday and Little Children both in 2006.

Sexual Orientation

Kate is straight. Her first relationship was a cohabitation with Stephen Tredre when she was 15 and he was 27. They broke up in 1995 on amicable terms and remained very good friends until his death in 1997. 

In 1998, she said "I do" to Jim Threapleton but it ended in 2001. She wedded Sam Mendes in 2003 but union got annulled in 2011 due to rumors of his infidelity.

A year after she walked down the aisle with Ned RocknRoll (real name Edward Smith).

Born as the second of the 4 children of Roger and Sally Winslet, her siblings are Anna, Joss and Beth. She has 3 children from her 3 marriages who are Mia born in 2000, Joe born in 2003 and Bear Blaze born in 2013.
