Ellen Page is a young Canadian film actress. 

Early Accomplishments

Being a daughter of creative parents, Ellen got interested in theatrical art from her early age. 

In 1997, she appeared in Pit Pony TV movie that brought her one of Canadian’s prestigious nominations – Gemini. 

In 2002, she starred in Marion Bridge movie that was also a success. The same year she also appeared in Trailer Park Boys. 

Best Known For

One of the remarkable roles in her acting portfolio is the X-Men movies where she played Kitty Pryde. 

In 2007, she played the role of Juno McGuff in a movie Juno. Her role of a pregnant teenager who tried to hide her vulnerability brought Ellen both world-wide recognition and Academy Award nomination, but the award went to a French actress Marion Cotillard.

In 2008 and 2009, she starred in the other movies like Smart People and Whip It. 

Sexual Orientation

Ellen Page is gay. She had several relationships with girls and from July 2017 she has been dating a dancer Emma Portner. They were suspected to be romantically linked after kissing outside one of the Hollywood cafes. In January 2018 she announced about her marriage with Emma. She publicly confirmed her gay orientation in Las Vegas in 2014. 

Religious Belief

Being a teenager, Ellen decided to go to a Buddhist school. The Hollowverse shares that she doesn’t seem so much devoted, but this religion influenced her a lot. 

Worth To Know

In 2005, Ellen had to shave her head for the art’s sake as she starred in the movie Mouth to Mouth. 

Her nickname “the tine Canadian” was given to her by the former roommate.
