Mike Todd was a remarkable American movie and theatre producer.

Early Accomplishments

Mike's ability was first noticed in his high school days as he produced the school play called The Mikado. By 1937, he produced his first Broadway play titled Call Me Ziggy.

Best Known For

Throughout the course of his career, Mike attained the most recognition through his incredible Broadway musicals among which include The Hot Mikado, Mexican Hayride and Up in Central Park.

Neither the name Mike or Todd was given to him at his birth. Instead, he was given the name Avrom Hirsch Goldbogen. He took up the name Todd from a nickname he was called in his childhood.

Throughout his life, Mike dabbled in a bit of everything as he once worked as a store window decorator and a shoe salesman.

He produced the 1956 movie Around the World in 80 Days.

He died in plane crash.
