Eddie Fisher

Eddie Fisher was an American actor and singer. 

Early Accomplishments

In 1948, Eddie released his first single where he featured the Marlin Sisters titled You Can't Be True, Dear. 

Best Known For

Eddie got the most recognition for his hit single I'm Walking Behind You which was released in 1953. This single was rated number 1 both in the US and UK. 

Sexual Orientation

Eddie was straight. Eddie was no one to give up on love as he got married five times. In 1955, he got married to the late actress Debbie Reynolds but after 4 years and 2 children together, they got divorced. The same year his divorce was finalized, he got married to Debbie's friend who was also an actress Elizabeth Taylor and got divorced 5 years later. In 1967, he got married to yet another actress Connie Stevens and got divorced after 2 years and 2 children. He was also married to Terry Richard for a year and Betty Lin for 8 years. 

Family

Eddie had 4 children who all walked in his shoes and have a successful career in the movie industry. Carrie and Todd Fisher were from his first marriage while Joely and Tricia Leigh Fisher were from his third marriage. 

Religious Belief

Eddie believed in Judaism. While his daughter Carrie was young, she used to attend Jewish services with him sometimes.

Worth To Know

The name Eddie was derived from his name Edwin. His middle name, however, is John.
