Ime Udoka

Ime Udoka is now retired as an international basketballer and has continued to impact on the sport as a coach in the NBA.

Early Accomplishments

He began to play basketball as a small-built forward in his high school days and played for the Vikings at the University of San Francisco.

His professional career began in the NBA Development League after being recruited in 2002 by the North Charleston Lowgators after a spell in Argentina with Independiente in 2001.

Best Known For

His best playing years came in the colors of the San Antonio Spurs between 2007 and 2009 and again in the 2010 season. After he retired from the game as a player in 2012, he continued to serve Spurs in the capacity of assistant coach ever since.

With D’Tigers (national team of Nigeria), he won 2 bronze medals at the 2005 and 2011 Afrobasket tournaments.
