Daniel Gibson

Daniel Hiram Gibson retired from the game as a Cleveland Cavaliers hero after spending his entire 7-seasons pro-career with the NBA team.

Early Accomplishments

Because of his heroics, his high school became Texas state champions for the first time since 1956, finishing the 2004 season with a 31-4 record.

He became the first freshman ever, for University of Texas to lead the team scoring charts while also setting a record of 101 3-pointers in one season.

Best Known For

After being recruited by the Cavaliers in the NBA draft of 2006, he won the Rookie Challenge MVP title in 2008 and finished his career in 2013 with a total of 397 league games, 3115 points, 793 rebounds and 775 assists.

Daniel is straight and was famously married to Keyshia Cole in 2011 until it ended in 2014 amidst cheating rumors. They got engaged on New Year’s Eve in 2009 after his relationship with Teyana Taylor ended months before.

He is the son of former basketballer Byron, and wife, Cheryl Gibson. He and Keyshia became parents in 2010 to a boy named Daniel.
