Early Accomplishments

Before she finished high school, she made her acting debut in an episode of Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color in 1986. 

Her launch to Hollywood came after successfully playing Brandi in 1991's Boyz in the Hood.

Nia has graced our TV screens with notable acts in 15 episodes of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Third Watch between 2003 and 2005 and House of Lies in 2012. 

She is currently playing a main role in the 9th season of NCIS: Los Angeles since 2017. 

She played major parts in The Best Man in 1999, Big Momma’s House in 2000, Are We There Yet in 2005 and their respective sequels.

She has 2 sons who are Massai Z. Dorsey Jr. born in 2000 and Kez Udoka born in 2011.
