Nivea B. Hamilton

Nivea B. Hamilton, known mononymously as Nivea, is an American R&B singer whose fame and popularity came at the turn of the millennium for chart-topping hits. 

Early Accomplishments

She grew up with singing, learning and honing her talents at her church choir right from a little age.

Her first studio experience came when she was 18, featuring on Mystikal’s song titled Danger (Been So Long) in 2000 and its success inspired her to release her debut single in 2001 titled Don’t Mess with the Radio.

Best Known For

From her 3 albums (Nivea in 2001, Complicated in 205 and Animalistic in 2006) and 1 EP (Nivea: Undercover), her song, Don’t Mess with My Man in 2002 with Jagged Edge was Grammy-nominated has received the greatest acclaim.

Other famed songs include Laundromat with R. Kelly and Okay with Lil Jon and YoungbloodZ shared almost equal success.

Sexual Orientation

Nivea is straight and is now in a long-term relationship with Shun Gabriel J. since 2010. 

She was married to Terius Nash a.k.a The-Dream in 2004 but divorced in 2007. 

She was previously engaged to Lil Wayne in 2002 for a year and again in 2009 for a year too.

Family

She revealed that she is the youngest child in her family and has 3 older sisters. 

She has however not revealed their names. 

She is the mother of 4 children who are Navy Talia (born 2005), twins Christian and London (born 2006) with The Dream and Neal (born 2009) with Lil Wayne.

Religion

Nivea grew up in a Christian family but it is unclear whether she is still a devotee as she used to be.
