Early Accomplishments
While studying accounting at the university, a rap crew he was part of, Jim Crow got contracted to Sony Records in 1999.
He quit college to pursue a hip-hop career full time and released Crow’s Nest in 1999 and Right Quick in 2001.
After the crew got dropped by the label, Polow began making beats and sent his first audiotape to Jimmy Iovine at Interscope Records who then resolved to use some of the beats for songs such as Ludacris’ Runaway Love.
Best Known For
Some of his best works include Chris Brown’s Forever and Sweet Love, Nas’ Hero, Fergie’s Glamorous, Usher’s Love In This Club, 50 Cent’s Baby By Me and Nicki Minaj’s Anaconda.
In 2009, he was announced as BMI Urban Awards songwriter and producer of the year.
