Leonard Nimoy

Leonard Nimoy was a prominent actor from the USA.

Early Accomplishments

When he was a boy, he took all possible work to earn at least some money. At 8, Leonard started acting in a children's and neighborhood theater. Later, he took drama classes at Boston College. His acting debut happened in 1951 – it was a role in Queen for a Day. 

Best Known For

Nimoy is mostly known for his portrayal of the stoic, cerebral Mr. Spock in the science fiction television and film franchise Star Trek.

Sexual Orientation

Nimoy was straight. He was married twice: to Sandra Zober from 1954 to 1987 and to Susan Bay from 1989 to 2015.

Leonard welcomed two kids with Sandra: Julie and Adam.

The future actor was born in Boston, Massachusetts, in the family of Dora and Max Nimoy, Jewish immigrants.

He got used to the role so much that even after filming he felt like Spock.

In 2014, Nimoy shared that he was diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. He died in 2015 at the age of 83.

He has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
