Howie Mandel

Howie Mandel is a Canadian stand-up comedian, TV personality and actor. 

Early Accomplishments

Prior to his career as a host, Mandel was best known for his role on NBC's medical drama St. Elsewhere. Also, many people know Mandel as the creator and main actor of the children's animated series Bobby's World.

He was one of the first VJs to appear on Nickelodeon's music series Pop Clips. The TV show was released in 1981 and it gave rise to the popular channel MTV.

Best Known For

Howie Mandel became most famous as one of the presenters of the NBC television game Deal or No Deal. Later, he was also seen in its daytime and Canadian-English versions.

In addition to his TV and comedian careers, Howie also acted in movies. More than 25 projects can be seen in his filmography.

Mandel is straight. He got married to Terry Mandel in 1980. The family gave birth to three kids.

The stand-up comedian was born in a family of Al Mandel and Evy Mandel. His father manufactured lightings and worked in the real estate industry.

Mandel has three children: girls Jackie and Riley, and boy Alex.

Since Howie Mandel's mother is Jewish, and in Judaism one's religion is based on one's mother's religion, then that makes him also Jewish. His father is Jewish too.

On September 4, 2008, Mandel received his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
