Samantha Ronson

Samantha Ronson is a musician, singer and songwriter but is more famous for her work as a DJ. 

Early Accomplishments

Born in England but raised in New York, Samantha graduated from NYU with a degree in philosophy and creative writing.

She was pressured to try out as a DJ at a club for a night in 2002 but she loved the experience and it became a day job for her.

Best Known For

Asides playing at private events for numerous A-list celebrities, she has been “on the wheel” for major events such as Super Bowl, film festivals, award shows, even MTV’s Times Square New Year’s Eve and in 2011, was official DJ for liquor brand, Hennessey.

Her most famous songs include Pull My Hair Out, Built This Way and Wanted.

Sexual Orientation

Although she loathes talking about her private life, Samantha is gay. She was with Lindsay Lohan for a year in 2008, Erin Foster in 2011 and Lauren Andersen in 2012.

The most recent relationship she has been in was with Cassandra Huysentruyt Grey in 2018.

Family

She and her twin sister, Charlotte are daughters of Laurence Ronson and Ann Dexter-Jones and has Mark Ronson as her big brother.

Her mom split from her dad and married Mick Jones. Hence, she has 2 stepbrothers, Chris and Roman Jones; and 5 half-siblings, Kenneth, Annabelle (both Jones), Henrietta, David and Joshua Ronson.

Religion

Samantha was born and raised in a Conservative Jewish household.
