Who is Lance Bass?

Lance Bass has evolved from his day as a singer and dancer from a popular pop group into an actor, producer and author.

Early Accomplishments

His first experience with singing was his being part of his church choir at the age of 11 and soon joined Mississippi Show Stoppers and Attaché Show Choir in high school.

During his junior high school year, he got a call from Justin Timberlake to audition for NSYNC and the rest as we know it, is history.  

Best Known For

With NSYNC, Lance achieved global fame for his strong voice, dances and good looks. They released 3 multiplatinum-selling albums between 1997 and 2001.

He starred in 2001 film, On The Line and has appeared in more than 20 TV series and shows. His autobiography, Out of Sync was published in 2007.

Sexual Orientation

Lance came out as gay in 2006 after rumors of him dating 2 guys and hanging around gay clubs. Before that, he dated Danielle Fisher in 1999 but since his coming out, he has dated Reichen Lehmkuhl, Pedro Andrade, Ben Thigpen and Lorenzo Martone.

He dated Michael Turchin in 2012 and got engaged after 18 months, finally getting married in 2014.

Family

He is the younger child and only son of James and Diane Bass and has a sister called Stacy.

Lance is a Southern Baptist. He grew up in a devout home and has described his childhood as “extremely happy”.

Worth To Know

He has been a lifelong admirer of space travel. He missed out on a seat on the Soyuz space capsule in 2002.
