Tom Franco

Tom Franco is an actor and an artist. He is the lesser known of the Franco acting brothers but equally as talented with his art.

Early Accomplishments

Tom had his first experience in acting as a 3-year old after he was cast in the 1983 thriller, The Deadly Spawn. He had a slightly bigger role as a 10-year old when he appeared in the comical horror flick Basket Case 2 in 1990.

He studied fine art at the University of California and later, ceramics at the California College of Art.

Best Known For

Tom has not appeared in up to 10 films but his most active appearances have come in The Disaster Artist (2017), A Peace of History (2005) and The Devil Wears a Toupee (2007).

He also founded Berkeley’s Firehouse Art Collective in 2004 and used to be co-director with his ex-wife until her demise in 2014.

Tom is straight. He has been married to Iris Thomas since 2015. This comes shortly after his marriage to long-time girlfriend and collaborator, Julia Lazar ended after she died of liver and kidney problems. They got married in the hospital a month before her demise.

Family

He is the middle son of the 3 born to Douglas and Betsy (née Verne) Franco. His other 2 siblings are famous actors James Franco and Dave Franco.

Like the rest of the family, Tom also practices Judaism.
