Who is Eamon Sullivan?

Renowned Australian sprint swimmer, Eamon Sullivan is one of the most accomplished sport personality in the country. Outside the pool, he is celebrated for his culinary prowess as he is now a celebrity chef.

Early Accomplishments

Eamon showed great promise growing up and this saw him compete at 2002’s Australian Age Championships where he aced the 50m event and came 2nd in the 100m event.

He was still 18 years when he won a spot to compete at the Athens Olympics. He broke his personal record at the finals but unfortunately did not win a medal.

Best Known For

He is a 2-time Olympic silver medalist (Beijing), 2-time gold medalist at the Commonwealth Games and World Championship each (all 4 medals in relay events) and twice broke the 50m & 100m world record.

He added another laurel to his name when he became the winner of the maiden season of Celebrity MasterChef Australia in 2009.

Eamon is straight. In 2016, he married his true love, Naomi Bass. Before that, he was known to have been in a relationship with Australian swimmer, Stephanie Rice back in his early 20s.

He shares a close-knit relationship with his family. His father’s name is unknown but his mother is Pam Sullivan. He has an older sister named Pia. He became a father to Leonardo in 2017.

In the first leadoff of the 4 × 100m freestyle relay at the Beijing Olympics, he beat Olympian extraordinaire, Michael Phelps by 0.36s but USA won the event.
