Seth Meyers

Seth Meyer is a multitalented American humorist. He is a writer, political satirist, actor and a TV and event host.

Early Accomplishments

While in university, he kicked off his career in comedy by joining college improv group, Mee-Ow Show. He took his improv career international by joining Amsterdam-based, English speaking ensemble, Boom Chicago with his brother.

Best Known For

He is most famous for his talk show Late Night with Seth Meyers and also renowned throughout the country for his writings and celebrity mimicry on Saturday Night Live before leaving in 2014.

His other notable achievements include starring in 2008 film, Journey to the Centre of the Earth and hosting the 66th Emmy Awards and 75th Golden Globe Awards. 

Sexual Orientation

Seth is straight. In 2004, he dated Rashida Jones for 8 months shortly after her split from ex-fiancé, Mark Ronson. 

He began dating Alexi Ashe in 2008 and got married to her in 2013 after a very brief engagement period.

Family

Seth and his brother, Josh are the children of Laurence Jr. and Hilary Meyers. Seth is now a father to Ashe, born in 2016 and Axel, born in 2018.

Religion

Although he is always mistaken to be a Jew, he has reiterated he isn’t one and he doesn’t belong to any religious group.

He was discovered by SNL casting director in 2001 at a show his improv duo with Jill Benjamin had in Chicago. He was hired a week after his interview.

He is a supporter of Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, West Ham United and the Dutch national football team.
