Vincent D'Onofrio

The super talented Vincent Phillip D'Onofrio is a renowned American actor and film producer whose quality of delivery of a wide array of roles has gained him a reputable name as the “actor's actor”.

Early Accomplishments

He worked in theatre backstage productions where he became involved in building sets and sound engineering in his early teens.

To earn a living while in college, he worked several jobs including being a delivery man, a bouncer at a popular nightclub and even a bodyguard.

Best Known For

Of his numerous on-screen performances, his most memorable ones are in Full Metal Jacket in 1987, Ed Wood in 1994 and in 141 episodes of Law & Order: Criminal Intent from 2001 to 2011. 

Other prominent works of his include 1997’s Men In Black, 2015’s Jurassic World, 2016’s The Magnificent Seven and 2017’s Rings as well as a villainous role in 2015’s series Daredevil.

Vincent is straight. He began dating actress Greta Scacchi in 1989 but split a year after the birthing of their child. 

He got married to Carin van der Donk in 1997 after dating for a year. They were separated a few years after but soon made up and are still married.

He is the only son of Gene and Phyllis D’Onofrio and his elder sisters are Antoinette and Elizabeth. 

He is the stepbrother of Guy and Connie Meyer. 

He fathers Leila George with Greta and also fathers Elias and Luca with Carin. 

He is an uncle to Hawk D'Onofrio.

Religion

Although, widely reported that he is a Christian, on the 29th of May 2017, via his Twitter account, Vincent states that “I’m a spiritual person but I follow no religion. I hope2and try2have a good sense of what’s moral and immoral.”
