One of the music greats, Jimi Hendrix is a singer, songwriter and legendary guitarist whose admirable skills with the electric guitar tentative mashup sound has delighted music lovers in the 60s and beyond.
Early Accomplishments
Jimi bought his first guitar when he was 16 and learnt how to play by watching others play and getting tips from experienced musicians.
To avoid jail sentence, he joined the Army at 19 and later on in early 1964, became the guitarist for The Isley Brothers.
Best Known For
His trademark guitar playing styles include using his teeth, playing under his legs, over his back and on his head. He was left-handed so he played the guitar upside down and is credited for his innovative use of the wah-wah pedal.
He released 3 albums with The Jimi Hendrix Experience, an eponymous album with the Band of Gypsys and 4 posthumous albums as his legacy.

His religion is unknown although there is every indication he believed in the existence of God. He however used to say music is his religion and called his music “electric church”.
