Rita Wilson

Rita Wilson is an excellent American producer, actress, and singer. 

Early Accomplishments

Rita’s acting career was officially launched in 1966, through her role in the movie, Spinout. By 2002, she introduced herself to the world as a producer after working on the movie, My Big Fat Greek Wedding. This brought her to greater heights as a producer, winning her a Producers Guild of America Visionary Award. 

Best Known For

Among her various brilliant roles, Rita has received the most recognition for featuring the sequel to My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

Rita is straight. Sometime in the early 70's Rita was romantically connected with the actor, D. David Morin. 

Family

For a whopping 30 years, Rita has been a member of the Hanks family through her marriage to the actor, Tom Hanks after meeting on the set of Bosom Buddies. Their union keeps growing stronger over the years and they have 2 children together. Rita has 2 step-children, Elisabeth and Colin Hanks from Tom's previous marriage. 

Religious Belief

Rita's father used to be a Bulgarian Muslim who later on in life converted to Christianity, under the Greek Orthodox denomination. From childhood, Rita was immersed in Christian values which became her lifestyle. She has remained devoted to her faith and even introduced her husband to the religion. She is seen regularly attending St Sophia's Cathedral in Los Angeles.

Rita has dabbled a bit in music, releasing her first album AM/FM in 2012.
