Matthew Followill

Matthew Followill is professional guitarist, lead guitar and backing vocal in popular rock-band 'Kings of Leon'. Other members are Nathan Followill, Caleb Followill, Jared Followill. 

Early Accomplishments

Matthew Followill has been playing the guitar from the early age.

In 1999 Matthew made a decision to move to Nashville and join 'Kings of Leon'.

When the band was about to be formed and sign a contract, Jared (cousin of Matthew) called Matthew and invited him to join the band. So he did in 2002.

As a member of 'Kings of Leon' Matthew has released seven albums.

The most popular songs are 'Notion', 'Sex on Fire', 'Only By The Night', 'Radioactive', 'Over', etc.

Matthew Followill on behalf of his band is and owner of BRIT and Grammy Award.

Matthew’s latest album 'Walls' came out in 2016. The name of the album is acronym for 'We Are Like Love Songs'. The 'Walls' consists of two parts. First part mainly contains songs to satisfy fans’ expectations, and the other part has new experimental stuff.
