Karina Smirnoff is a 39-year-old American professional dancer originated from Ukraine. 

Early Accomplishments

Her passion to dancing started in unusual way. She suffered from hyperactivity disorder and her parents signed her to dancing classes to keep her busy. 

In 1996, Karina, together with her partner Roman Nabatov, took the 22nd place while taking part in U.S. Amateur Latin Championships. 

Three years later, the girl got into top 5 at British Open Dance Championships, but for those events she switched her partners. 

Best Known For

Though Karina had won numerous prizes and important competitions, she became famous after taking part in the world-famous show Dancing with the Stars in 2006.
