Gene Hackman

Gene Hackman is one of the most popular actors of the second part of the 20th century. He is also a writer.

Early Accomplishments

In 1958, the future star got his first role off Broadway. That was Chaparral. By the way, Dustin Hoffman was his roommate for a while. 

His first book Wake of the Perdido Star was published in 1999. He was a co-writer with Daniel Lenihan.

Best Known For

Gene is an author of two of his own books: Payback at Morning Peak (published in 2011) and Pursuit (published in 2013).

In 1973, he co-starred with Al Pacino in Scarecrow. 

He was praised for his performance in Uncommon Valor (1983).
