Taylor Goldsmith

Taylor Goldsmith is a very talented and gracefully skillful American guitarist. He is the frontman and lead guitar for based-in-Los Angeles folk-rock band, Dawes.

Early Accomplishments

The impression of growing up with a father who was fronting for a band rubbed off on Taylor as he picked up the guitar from an early age and started learning to play.

He was educated at Malibu High School and honed his skills while in school. 

His desire in music made him follow a career in it full-time and he joined a punk rock group called Simon Dawes.

Best Known For

Asides his romantic affiliations with a certain This Is Us star, Taylor is the lead guitar and vocals for the very successful music crew Dawes. 

The band’s 2015 album, All Your Favorite Bands was a huge commercial success, earning a number one spot on US folk-rock chart.

Sexual Orientation

Taylor is straight and has been engaged to his darling actress/pop singer girlfriend Mandy Moore since 2017. 

The pair met after her separation from her ex-husband Ryan Adams and have been dating since 2015. 

The couple has expressed their desire to become a family soon enough.

Family

He is the son of Lenny Goldsmith, a former band frontman and Kathy Goldsmith, a business top executive. 

His brother, who is also a bandmate of his, is Griffin (plays drums).

Religion 

Taylor has revealed in a 2017 interview that he is not religious and does not even believe in heaven even as his music suggests somewhat otherwise. 

He however admits to be spiritual and in the existence of a higher power.

He played with the band Middle Brother in 2011 and they released an album that year.

He lives together with his fiancée in a house they both renovated.
