Laird Hamilton

Laird Hamilton is a famous big-wave surfer known for endowing numerous improvements to professional sports. Besides that, Laird is famous for modeling and his media appearances.
Being 17 years old, Laird was already a professional surfer and could have competed to take his career further. However, he preferred to stay away from contests and continue his modeling work. In 1987 he had a role in a North Shore movie.
Laird Hamilton is famous for his surfing accomplishments and improvements. He is the first surfer to undertake a 360-degree loop being strapped to the board. He was also the one who invented tow-in surfing, stand-up paddle boarding, and hydrofoil boarding.
Laird is straight and was married twice. His first wife is Maria Souza (also a surfer). His current wife is Gabrielle Reece, a volleyball player also known for modeling.
Lair was raised by his mother Joann. His father left when Laird was still an infant. Later on, Laird’s mother married Bill Hamilton and had another son Lyon. She died in 1997.
Laird has three daughters: Izabella (b. 1995) from his first wife and Reece (b.2003) and Brody (b.2008) from his second wife Gabrielle Reece.
He believes in God and his influence on life. However, Laird does not belong to any particular religion.
Laird knew his adoptive father Bill Hamilton before his mother. He was the one to introduce them to each other.
He has published two books: Force of Nature: Mind, Body, Soul, And, of Course, Surfing (2010) and Liferider: Heart, Body, Soul, and Life Beyond the Ocean (2019).
Laird took part in Hell’s Kitchen, a popular culinary show, as a wakeboarding instructor.
