Ian Somerhalder

Ian Somerhalder is an actor. He received six Teen Choice Awards wins for his vampire role in The Vampire Diaries.

Started his career as a model when he was about 11. Worked in Milan, New York and Paris.

Decided to try acting in the 1990s and got a small role in the series The Big Easy. He described that period of his life as a “total Dionysian, promiscuous time in the fashion business. An amazing time to be young and not have any responsibility.”

The actor is well recognizable on the screen as Damon Salvatore. His another famous role is not less loveable. Ian played Boone Carlyle in Lost.

Ian’s religion is Christianity. His mother raised him as a follower of the Catholic religion. Somerhalder described her as a “very spiritual” person. She sent a son to the Catholic school and paid great attention to his studying there.
