A chart-topping pop star Ian Broudie created a great composition - “Three Lions” – that is well known as a football anthem.
With the first project - Big In Japan – he performed till 1970s. After that, he helped such group as The Zutons or The Fall, to record several albums. Sometimes the musician appeared under the pseudonym Kingbird.
In the 1990s, Broudie started a new project called “Lightning Seeds” that bring him huge success and recognition. “Pure” – this is the name of his hit song released as a part of the album “Cloudcuckooland”.
Another composition - “Three Lions” - is equally well known.
After dropping his career of a front man, he tried to work solo and presented “Tales Told” in 2004.
He gave a second chance to their union and released a new album “Four Winds” in 2009.
Unfortunately, there is no exact information about his religion.
However, his brother’s funeral was conducted at the Jewish synagogue in Liverpool. The man committed suicide by jumping from the church.
He is straight. Ian has a son Riley Broudie, who performed with him on the same stage as a guitarist.
In the interview to Sean Parker, Broudie mentioned that his studio became a second home for him: “I live in Liverpool and London but my studio is in Liverpool so I mostly write and record there and it feels like home…”
He wrote a song about his son called “The Life of Riley”.
He prefers to drink coffee and red wine.
During 2001-2006, the singer lost parents, one of two brothers and a sister. The man shared with “The Guardian”: “After Rob died and before that, when my sister died, I was confused, in daily life. I look back now and think, ‘What was I doing? Was it grief?’”
